Norbert Hummelt
Norbert Hummelt is a German poet, essayist and translator. He was born in Neuss in 1962 and now lives in Berlin. He studied German and English Literature at Cologne University, and ever since has been working as a freelance writer. His books of poetry include Pans Stunde (2011), Fegefeuer (2016) and Sonnengesang (2020). Most recently he published 1922 – Wunderjahr der Worte, a narrative study about the very year when Eliot’s The Waste Land, Joyce’s Ulysses and other crucial works of modernism came out. His work as a translator includes T.S. Eliot, The Waste Land/Das öde Land (2008) and Four Quartets/Vier Quartette (2015). He also edited and co-translated the poetry of W.B. Yeats (Die Gedichte, 2005). He also writes for the radio and newspapers. For his poetical works, he was awarded the Hölty-Preis für Lyrik in 2018, and most recently the Rainer Malkowski-Preis (2020).
Benoît Tadié
Benoît Tadié is professor of American literature at CREA, Université Paris Nanterre. His research focuses on English and American modernism, the work of James Joyce and American hardboiled/noir fiction. His books include L’Exérience moderniste anglo-américaine 1908-1922: formes, idéologies, combats (Didier, 1999), James Joyce/Dubliners (Didier, 2000), Le polar américain, la modernité et le mal (Presses universitaires de France, 2006) and Front criminel: une histoire du polar américain de 1919 à nos jours (Presses universitaires de France, 2018). He has translated James Joyce’s Dubliners into French (as Gens de Dublin, GF, 1994) and, more recently, T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land (as La Terre dévastée, Po&sie, 2020/4 (n° 174), https://www.cairn.info/revue-poesie-2020-4-page-119.htm).
Carmen Gallo
Carmen Gallo is a Research Fellow at Sapienza Università di Roma. She recently edited a new edition (translation, introduction, and commentary) of The Waste Land by T.S.Eliot (Il Saggiatore 2021). She also translated All is True, or Henry VIII by Shakespeare (Bompiani 2017) and Lives of Great Poisoners by Caryl Churchill (Editoria&Spettacolo 2020). In 2018, she published a book on metaphysical poets and eucharistic imagination (Donne, Herbert, Crashaw), which won Tempera Book Prize. Her research fields are William Shakespeare, John Donne, mannerism/modernism, T.S. Eliot, contemporary theatre and poetry, and the history of 20th-century poetry criticism. She has published three works of poetry. Her latest, "Le fuggitive", won the Premio Napoli 2021. She is now working on the translation of Philip Sidney's Psalms.
Andreu Jaume
Andreu Jaume (born in Palma, in 1977) is an editor, critic, teacher, translator and poet. He has translated and studied authors such as Shakespeare, Marlowe, Wallace Stevens, T. S. Eliot, W.H. Auden, Anne Carson, Rainer Maria Rilke, Hannah Arendt, among others. As a poet he has published the books Camp de Mar (2015) and Tormenta todavía (2022). He is a regular contributor in the Spanish press and a lecturer in Humanities.
